Smile.io Points Expiry

If you are on our  Professional plan or above, you have the option to add points expiry to your Points program. 

This is a great feature to add because it allows you to set a time for your customers to use their points!

In your  Smile.io admin, click on your 'Points' program.

In your Points program dashboard, click on the 'Settings' tab.

Once you are in the settings page of your Points program, scroll down and you will see an 'Enable' button below the Points Expiry feature. Click on this button to activate Points Expiry.

Points expiry comes with some amazing new emails that you can use. We call them our reactivation and last chance emails. Both are designed to encourage customers who have gone dormant to come back to your store and shop!

Reactivation Email

This email notification will be your customers' first reminder that their points are about to expire. We recommend that you set this email to be sent to your customers between 7-30 days before expiration. 

Last Chance Email

This email notification will be your customers last chance to use their points because they are about to expire. We recommend that this email be sent to your customers between 1-7 days before expiration.
